We admire them for their ability to work their magic and magnify their talent in ways we could never imagine.

They have a skill and a desire for perfection, and that’s how they get their name: Master Craftsmen. They come alive when they master their particular craft working with their five senses in the present. They are thinkers and make objective decisions logically and rationally. They want to do the right thing and are motivated by principles and values.

They’re craftsmen in their special fields of expertise. They are free spirits who do not like to be tied down or told how to do their job. They will listen to another craftsman they respect but otherwise, they need considerable independence in their job. They are lone wolves who need time to bond with their craft. They also have a powerful competitive spirit. Their perfectionism and competitive spirit gives them the edge in the business of making money.

Now let’s look at master craftsmen a little more deeply. Their thesis statement is that they are the ultimate non-conformists. They have to be all they can be…unique and in control of their life. Their talent is they use their craft to magnify their power. Again, they need a tool whether it’s an actor and his script, an athlete and his body, or equipment such as a surgeon.

They’re intense and they need to improve. We think of even people like Evel Knievel. Their motivation is to be the best. They keep pursuing in a quest to improve their craft. They measure success by living a life full of action by their own personal standards. Some famous people are Clint Eastwood, a famous actor and director, Tom Cruise, actor, Michael Jordan, the athlete.

When you look at their persona, they’re very rugged individuals who love action and pushing themselves to the limit. They derive their life force from within rather than from the external world. The mystic journey comes alive in action. They’re the strong, silent type. Walk softly and carry a big stick. They have a very relaxed, super-confident attitude with the ability to wait patiently. They have a spirit of rugged individualism. Their lifestyle is one to take risks to feel alive. They love living on the edge with no rules. They hate routine and structure. They live for action delivered in surprises, experiences in the here and now in the present, in the moment…not thinking about the future. When it comes to motivation they push to be their personal best. They never stop trying. You see this in athletes and others of this personality type. Their power is in action. With entertainers, their power is in their work. They’re different personality types. They are very unique and like being in control. Really, they push themselves to be all they can.
